I will be presenting the workshop Body Acceptance at Community for Spiritual Living (CSL) in Falls Church, Virginia. CSL meets the first Saturday of every month - contact Roger Telschow for more info at Telschow@erols.com.
How accepting are you of your body, just the way it is? Sometimes we see our bodies as vehicles that carry our head around, rather than a home in which we live.
When we were first born, we were fully accepting of our bodies, without inhibition, without embarrassment. For most of us, something happened at some point in our lives that changed that state to be less than fully accepting of our bodies. Please join us as we look more deeply at how we feel about the "soft animal" that is our body.

Re CSL Body Acceptance event, 2/4.
It was a good turnout, I think 19 people came out on this rainy night, and magic was in the air! Everyone opened up and participated from that special vulnerable space we've all got, some deeper than others, I participated too in a way which I think touched everyone very deeply, including myself! The suggestion was to talk
about, in front of the group, the evolution of our body awareness,
what we liked, what we didn't like, what were key moments in our lives in the evolution of our body sense, where we're at now with our body, and whatever else people wished to share. Everyone was a star. Very very moving evening!
As is typical of a great event, no one wanted to leave! The 4-6
ran over I think to 6:30 but everyone wanted to keep going and the energy was there for it like the Mississippi. We were all swept up in the loving and supportive energy.
Thank you, Gene, for being the inspiration and inventor/synthisizer/source of the course. As I keep saying over and
over ad nauseum, Gene Long is a fantastic guy first and a sensational group leader secondly. Keep doing it.
(Note: Gene happened to be ill yesterday so he could not participate himself in this event he was scheduled to lead with Roger Telschow his co-leader. Roger stepped up in Gene's absence, led the workshop using Gene's notes, and Roger did a great job.)
